Early this week the House is scheduled to debate amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021, a bill which determines the amount of funding allocated for military spending.
Members of Congress in the House and Senate have introduced amendments that will reallocate 10 percent of the Pentagon budget toward human security needs, such as healthcare, education, sustainability initiatives, etc.
These needs are more critical than ever during this pandemic. And the Pentagon budget is out of control - the Department of Defense’s budget eclipses that of federal courts, education, the State Department, local economic development, public health and environmental protection combined.
Take action today: Urge your Members of Congress to support the amendments that will reallocate Pentagon funds toward critical human needs areas.
