The United States has long been a model for welcoming refugees, but the resettlement program has shrunk dramatically in recent years. When the United States closes its doors to refugees, refugees are forced to wait in dangerous conditions abroad for permanent solutions.
In honor of World Refugee Day, Members of Congress can support refugees by advocating for robust funding to rebuild the refugee program and by co-sponsoring the upcoming World Refugee Day Resolution in the House and Senate.
Faith communities across the United States are ready and willing to help welcome refugees. Urge Congress to support refugee resettlement today.
