The situation in Yemen is widely considered to be the world's worst ongoing humanitarian crisis. At least 10 million Yemenis are facing famine. Egregious war crimes against civilians continue from all sides in the conflict. Continued aerial bombings have endangered humanitarian relief for 80 percent of Yemenis who live in Houthi-governed territory.

However, U.S. engagement in peacebuilding efforts and humanitarian aid are still needed. We can thank President Biden for his decision and urge him and Congress to continue working for peace in Yemen.
