As the six-year civil war in Yemen reaches its darkest point yet, it is imperative that the U.S. end its military support for the war in Yemen and commit to advancing peace and humanitarian relief for the people of Yemen.
The situation in Yemen is widely considered to be the world's worst ongoing humanitarian crisis. At least 10 million Yemenis are facing famine. Egregious war crimes against civilians continue from all sides in the conflict. Continued aerial bombings endanger humanitarian relief for 80 percent of Yemenis who live in Houthi-governed territory. Recent moves by the Trump administration are stoking the flames of the conflict and barring humanitarian aid from reaching those who need it most.
